How does Dialog VoIP work?
In a VoIP environment IP phones, Media Gateway (IP PBX) and servers are connected to a SWITCH. In larger setups multiple switches will be utilized and they will all be up-linked to a core switch. If these switches are of the managed type then they will have a port called the Mirror/SPAN port. The Dialog VoIP call recording server is connected to the Mirror/SPAN port and captures all VoIP IP traffic and converts it into an audio file which is then stored.
